So do I, but in fairness Adam didn't play to the best of his ability this season. He's been picked before so we know Hodgson has his eyes on him. If he performs next season I expect him to get another chance. Lambert and Clyne are the ones I'm most miffed about, because they clearly are better than some of the current England squad.

Best bit of analysis I've seen online this evening...

"Bringing on Rodwell when you need a goal is just like turning on Miranda when you need a ****"

    Yeah true.

It really annoys me people aren't picked unless they play in the top 6 or so.

Its time we gave others a chance.

Turned out a better game than originally thought. England rode their luck in first half, then settled in the second half. Turned round after AOC came on. good goals and good entertainment. A good result for a weakened England side who pulled themselves together and showed some spirit.

I think Cork should be in there, can break up play and calm things down and control the tempo, certainly better than Phil Jones is.

I love Lallana to bits but I just don't know what he would look like at this level, I suspect some headless chicken could creep in. I could be wrong, and you're right, it would be nice to see him get the chance, surely that's what bloody friendlies are for?

I think you are comparing apples and oranges comparing Rodwell to Lallana. Jack Cork ought to be in the squad over Rodwell. Lallana could be in instead of someone like Milner.

We have roughly 3 players who could warrant a call up and we finished 14th, imagine how many other teams are thinking there players are deserving of a call up

True. My point was more that Roy will pick players not on form but on who they play for.

Mark Chamberlain just told 5live he missed Alex's goal as he fell asleep on the sofa watching the game.

    Sums it up.

Yeah, it's frustrating that he doesn't seem to look outside the top 7 sides.

A language expert said that we should have one word for their, there and they're. Idiot...the reason there are different words is because they mean different things. I understand people making mistakes typing on a forum, but what can you do when professionals lower THEIR standards.

    Been injured.

I do rate him very highly though. The press keep forgetting him when they talk of our options.

A good pre-season then I can see him taking the CB role. Injuries key.

A way off from England duty though.

    Yeah he does.

He could do it but he has a load of hurdles to get over first.
