Just wondered if any City fans could explain the following

Glenn Johnson and Stuart Downing in the England squad
Micah Richards and Adam Johnson not playing

Richards must have watched Phil Jones looking out of his depth against Norway on Saturday and thought how the f*** am I not in the squad?
 
Nothing wrong with Glen Johnson. Stop regurgitating the media crap and actually watch him play.

Richards should be in the squad ahead of Jones.
Johnson ahead of Downing.
 
Nothing against Jonhson, he is decent but probably a bit past his best but I don't think he is as good as Richards or Kyle Walker. More than happy to take him and dump Jones. I certainly wouldn't lump him in with Downing in the "seriously how can he be picked?" camp. I just can't figure out how one of the best right backs in world football playing for a decent defence for the Champoins can't even get into a very mediocre England squad. My query to City fans was really if there were non-football reasons for him not being selected - is he disruptive or a poor trainer or does his face just not fit?

Richards asked not be put on the standby list apparently. There is certainly no footballing reason for Kelly to picked ahead of him!!
 
As i am a City fan i am glad that both A. Johnson & M. Richrds haven't gone to the Euros as they will be fresh for the start of the season having had a good rest during this close season. The only reason any of them haven't gone is that the England manager only wantsd players that play for Liverpool. how esle can you explain why most of the squad comw from Liverpool footbal club. after all they did absolutely nothing in the league finishing only a couple of points ahead of Swansea.
