Until the players get threatened with hung, drawn and quartering for committing high treason by continually putting in inept, gutless performances, International football can do one.

Sick of seeing the same old faces, put in the same old performances, with the same old sulks when criticism flows their way. **** em.

You do realise the entire team has changed over the last 2 years? Ok Rooney is there but that is probably justified.

Figure of speech - I mean in terms of the same ****e from the same clubs. Stick a bunch of Championship players in the side. Okay, they may not be the best, but they will give 100% I bet.

To be fair effort isn't a problem for our current bunch. We pick the best players and they give it everything. We're just not that good sadly. We are moving in the right direction of course, but still lagging behind the best nations.

We have some promising kids coming through, but then we always say that don't we? I would love to see us get back to basics and combine the English 'spirit' with true technical ability. Sadly, that would take years to develop.

I'd be in danger of cheering the Scots on...only because I enjoy watching England lose these days. Sad state of affairs, since as far back as I remember I loved nothing more than seeing us putting one over them.

The most sickening thing is the horrible fisting that disgusting **** Andy Townsend does over Jack Wiltshire. He really does blow his load off his bang average performances.

Two and a half hours until KO.
Just been talking to my son and he says a few of his mates, all Toon lads have gone up.
    All Geordies & Patriots....

Maybe it needs a match thread for PATRIOTS ONLY, with heathens excluded. <laugh>

Lallana is quality. Pressure on the ball, bit of class, technically gifted, lad has everything. Him, the Ox, Wilshere, Barkley, Clyne, Shaw, Sterling, Aarons :)biggrin:), Sturridge can make us a nice side to watch. Energy and technical skills.

Lallana exudes class, team looking half decent tonight.
I realise Forster hasn't had much to do, but he looks a big presence between the sticks.

Not quite the same on BBC Live Text but worth waking up at 4am to follow the 2nd half. Unfortunately no Scots working in the office here but will still be a good day. At least I won't have to take any stick off the Indonesian's who have the luxury of being able to switch International affinities at will as their national team don't really compete outside SE Asia.
A win at the weekend now to keep that Warm Glow rising.

Like Clyne. Unlike previous incumbents, he can defend and attack rather than one or other. Forster has proven himself very capable this season, thought he was poor on the goal. Robertson their best player.

Robertson looks as though he'll be a good un.
You can see clubs sniffing around and Hull struggling to hold onto him.

I suggested him and Gauld from Dundee U last season. Both looked class acts. Gauld now learning his trae in Sportings B team. Sure he'll come good.

I personally love to follow the national team. They have been difficult to watch over the last few years mind. I think this current squad is looking promising though and its good to see. Could do with a really good CB though and another good proper striker....reminds me of another team I know!
