He thinks he'd have done a good job then <laugh>

I did look up Pardew's record and must confess that it's better than I thought. I still wouldn't want him as England manager though. In my view anyone who is to manage England should have experience of managing a team in European competition as they will then have come up against teams playing in different styles, with different tactics etc, similar to what you would come up against in international matches.

I think I'm right in saying that Pardew has only tasted european football once when West Ham were knocked out in the first round by Palermo?

I'll third that. Tactically the best we've had in my lifetime.
Saw an interview about the possibility of taking us to the Euro's and his words were,
    " I've got unfinished business"

Better that Stuart ' I'll do it no one else wants to' Pearce.

Hoddle could just pull off something spectacular but anyone who is going to take us to the Euro's needs to be in place pretty soon.

    IMO.

In my view the FA is run by a bunch of eunuchs.

Why on God's good earth haven't the said to Redknapp, "do you want the England job? If you do, resign from Spurs and we'll sort out compensation".

Instead they have left this void where there is no direction, no plan, no leadership leading up to the Euros. Major tournaments don't come round that often and I for one, am not happy the FA seems prepared to simply throw away any chance we have of doing well in the tournament. And for what reason? Are they scared of Spurs? Who is in charge of our national game? The FA or Harry Redknapp? If he's not prepared to walk awau from Spurs to take on the biggest job in world football..............phuck him, lets go for someone who actually wants the job!

Our national game stinks and it's the people at the top that make it that way, right from the grass roots to the elite; they are shyte.
