This is exactly how I feel as well. Definitely prefer club football or watching more entertaining nations.

I was pointing out how many nations had won the world cup since England did because DTK was making out that half the world had. The World Cup was the only competition that I was talking about.

    Get it?

The fact that we are ranked 4th in the world and Spain are ranked second shows how much of a **** system the fifa rankings are. And of course we don't look at the qualifiers etc because we get put in a piss easy group every year that a team of apes could qualify from. The only thing that matters is the tournaments, and we consistently fail to get past the quarters.

While I do prefer club over country I'm very passionate about England, I try and get to at least a couple of games a year and will continue to do so. I'm hoping that I will get to see one of my teams win something in my lifetime but I won't hold my breath, the thing with people who say they don't care about England would surely change their minds if we got to a world cup final therefore making them a glory supporter. Just my opinion <ok>

As players, gotta be Krul. But national patriotism may have taken hold by then, so would have to say England. Unless they'd played like ****e and didn't deserve it at all <ok>

Then why go to such lengths to show what trophies other countries have won then? Because it means nothing and has no bearing?

    Yeah, ok.

No, we were on about how many countries have one a trophy when England hasn't. Not just the world cup.

Molehill -> Mountain. It's called an opinion. You have yours, we have ours. I'll care what I want to care about. A vulgar titled thread by some Joker (get it?) on a football forum won't change my opinion. Just like I don't expect anything I say to change your opinion.

Then why go on about Euro Qualification in the first place then?

I was just answering your question. <ok>

It's ok, I understand. You hate the England football team because of the 'nasty characters' that the team consists of, right?

Shame we can't have more respectable players like Joey Barton or Andy Carroll playing... oh wait...

Joker, do you go off on one and get all moody every time that people disagree with you? Did you really expect people to suddenly go "Oh wait Joker, now you've told us all to shut the **** up and told us we're all wrong, I've suddenly realised that YES you're correct I actually LOVE England tralalalala" <doh>

I think the general opinion from 90% of the sane population is as follows:

Of course, we would love to see England win a trophy, and would fully back them in any competition
However, the brand of football England play is so boring, and we underachieve so much, most people aren;t interested until a mojar tournament actually comes around. Not many people find it super interesting to see England win 2-0 against sides outside the world top 100, it's just not entertainment.

Carroll takes the penalty, Krul saves it.

BUT Krul had left his line before the ball had been kicked so the penalty must be retaken. Unfortunately Carroll slipped whilst taking the penalty and seriously damaged his ligaments (a potentially career threatening injury), meaning he cannot retake the penalty.

Up steps debutant Steven Taylor, who is playing because of an injury crisis that has struck Englands' defence. The defender thumps home the winning penalty before running off forrest gump style with his chest pumped out to celebrate in front of the England fans.

I think I found an elegant solution for all parties.....

    Moody? <laugh> ...hardly.

I'm English and very proud of it. I follow Newcastle United and England no matter how bad things get.

I don't see that things are so bad for England and simply cannot understand all the negative **** that gets thrown despite the positive results.

If Newcastle United had as good a win ratio as the national side, we'd be one hell of a force.

England are ranked 4th in the world based on all their results and people laugh and poke fun at the calculation?

    I'm not moody, I simply don't understand.
