That's not really a rebuttal. It's not that "everyone else is doing it", it's that we're the only ones with people moaning about "it" being anything worth griping about. Nobody else is so seemingly insecure about their national identity that they have people running around whinging about how Italy should only be managed by Italians or Brazil by Brazilians. A manager is a manager, all that matters when it comes down to it is the players kicking the bloody ball.
........into the back of the net. I watched that game and it was so boring. I thought England had little idea and Bulgaria had no idea; hence we won. ****-a-doodle-do
England are sh*t, full stop. Bunch of overpaid, overhyped, prima donnas who don't deserve to wear the shirt, it makes me sick. I actually renounced my support for England in the pub today (I am in Scotland so it was a popular move). The sooner they drop those toss pots lampard, ferdinand, and especially that git Ashley Cole, the better. THese players assume their names will be on the team sheet, earn far too much and behave like the biggest ****ers I've ever set eyes on. I think the FA needs to completely re-visit the structure of the team, the management AS WELL as football at grass roots level. What a breath of fresh air it was seeing the Wanderers youth players going abroad to learn from other countries - something the premier league should look at very closely. Football at the top level - whether that be international or premier league - has been taken away from the majority of the people. This isn't some working class/communist rant, it's a fact. Prices are too high and people are getting paid too much. I am not going to waste my money watching England or any other premier league drivel for a very long time. Cap the wages, make playing for England the pinnacle of a player's career and stop these useless rich kids from assuming they are good enough for England because quite frankly, it's boring.
I don't care if he's Roberto Carlos, Pele or George Best, he's also a prima donna who takes his name being on the teamsheet for granted. He's unstable as a person and isn't an idol, no matter how good he is. As for should he be dropped, my answer would be yes - along with more than half of the current regular squad and along with a massive root and branch review of the entire system. It's got nothing to do with how good he is.
He could be effing Hannibal Lecter for all I care, as long as he's the best player to help us win games.
Another shambles. Didn't even bother to watch a lot of it. The Wycombe game sounded more interesting.
Yes - and none of them are good enough to help us win games, as you can see by our dusty silverware cabinet. I don't support England any more, they are boring.
i didnt watch it as i have given up on england since the last world cup.they dont deserve our fans backing all over the world.
We once again showed why we won't win the world cup with our performance. I looked at the anonymous Lampard, Barry and Milner and thought these three can't even create chances against Wales, what will they be like if played against Spain or Germany etc. Lampard is past it, Milner shouldn't be played for England, as he has no form due to never being played at Man City, same regarding Adam Johnson. A few positives however were Young, Downing and Smalling's performances. These are 3 players who have greatly improved, simply by starting matches for their clubs every week and gaining form, fitness and ability just by being in their club's first team plans. In summary, Cappello should play players who are actually starting matches for their clubs and playing well, instead of Milner and Johnson, who for me were a long way off the pace of the match or Lampard who is off form. I'd like to see players like Jarvis, Cleverly or Henderson given the chance to be promoted in the same way, instead of hanging on to the same average players who don't ever seem able to perform for their country.
Once again England take one step forward (Bulgaria) and then two steps back (Wales) The England hierarchy need to realise that we have to look to the future and not rely on failures from the past. Lampard, Barry and Milner should never pull on an England shirt again in my opinion. Out with the old and in with the new talent such as Jarvis, Henderson, Wilshere, Rodwell, Jones and so on. RANT OVER.
