England now in the same side of the draw as Italy France Germany and Spain... maybe Portugal judging on tonight. At least half our team got a rest though
Let us hope @ForestHillBilly. Nothing would give me such satisfaction as to prove that they are not a pedigree team.
JBG will score a last minute winner, take off his top to reveal a palace shirt and then pull a Charlton flag out his sock and wipe his arse with it.
The Gods are shining on England first they get the easiest group out of the 6 ,they mess up yet get an easy draw in last 16 ....names on the cup
I'd rather Portugal to be honest. I'm bored ****less of watching England against theae Mickey Mouse sides. It's no good having 90% possession & 20 shots on goal if you don't get the win...!! At least Portugal would've attacked us and given us some space to exploit. Deffo going to the pub for this one. No more watching England sober for me...!!
Good to see the tournament pick up after England's drab showing. Top, top games yesterday with all to play for. It will be interesting to see how JBG performs against premiership opposition.
We knew anyway. We're Charlton fans. That was just Colchester away repeated with expensive players. Mind, you don't see Roy sneaking out with the laundry
I was very, very suprised. We looked good against Belgium, but **** against Sweden and ROI. A real testament to Conte. Imagine if England were that well drilled and played with the same intensity and passion.
The guys at work were surprised England lost, but we here all knew otherwise ! $5.50 was on offer for the Iceslabs !
So glad England are out. A dull faceless boring and over hyped side, badly coached by a cautious owl-lookalike at least 10 years past his sell by date in football. @DickPlumb thought England played well, but I must have missed that after the first half v Russia. Anyone wasting money following that mob of chavs and halfwits away from home wants their heads testing. I remember feeling genuine sorrow when England went out in 86, 19990 and 96. Yesterday - nothing.
In the group games I thought England played well without any end product. Last night was completely different. We couldn't pass the ball, we couldn't defend, we couldn't do the basics like trap the ball. We lacked leadership. It was one of the worst displays by an England side I have seen. Iceland are a poor International team but their players knew their jobs and stuck to it. Out of Europe twice in a week.
