Ramos scything down Mandzukic was just outside the area, but only by a couple of inches - yet they only got a corner, and Corluka was booked for (quite rightly) asking the ref to do his job. Sherer tried defending the challenge at half time, even with numerous replays showing Ramos got the ball after he got the player. Italy were right in suspecting shenanigans in that match, but it wasn't the scoreline that was suspect - it was the referee.

On the subject of shenanigans, the mini league concept seems to be encouraging them.

I've clearly missed what Debuchy's done to impress people. He hasn't looked that great in the two games I've seen of him this tournament.

Dzagoev couldn't really of done much more to help Russia so I'd have him in there too.

Croatian FA fined £16,000 less for racist chanting, than Niklas Bendtner was fined for revealing sponsored boxer shorts.

    Unbelievable.

Also, Bendtner was fined £80,000 for that, but I would bet Paddy Power paid him more than £80,000, so why will players not just continue in the future, and take the ban..

    UEFA :headbang:

I wouldn't have thought he did get more than that for one stunt. That said the story being run again after him being fined has probably made it worth more to Paddy Power.

So far I need to replace Lewandowski, Dzagoev, Srna, Elm, Keane, Heitinga, and Rommedahl in my fantasy team - so for the sake of convenience, a Yarmolenko-inspired Ukraine better win this evening!

Bolded is the first thing that went through my head too!

I would also imagine Paddy Power would fully cover Bendtner's fine, but that is only a guess.

Another nail in the coffin of the "Rooney is our saviour" bandwagon, mainly. 2004, 2006, 2010 - I'm noticing a pattern here...

To be fair, he got 4 goals in 4 games at Euro 2004, so harsh to include that.

Made a balls up of that though. I thought my guess of a 2 or 3 goal win would materialize there but no.
