5 dropped catches today by England.

Aussie 44 ahead with 4 wkts left.
Need early wickets tomorrow or we could be going 2 down.
Going to be a long viewing day, cricket till 12noon,tea and bacon sarnies, then City on Sky.

Aussie 511.
Big ask for England, but we make a quick start.
38 - 0
Bloody Fawanews ain't working :steam:

Mine is solid Bure. On the other side of the world probably on a different satellite. But scoring quickly playing proper shots.

I am able to watch all of each of these test matches. Unfortunately. Think I will dip in and out of them unless we drastically improve. Lord Botham was right, no matches leading up to this series leaves us un- prepared. Playing on Aussie pitches with the kookaburrah ball is totally different to Lords with the Duke. Only Stokes and Root have been here previously. Archer maybe also. I can see 5-0 looming again.

yeah Stokes was so annoyed with himself when he got out yesterday, but shock horror, him and Jacks were batting properly, yes it was slow going, but they need to have patience. I think trying to slog Starc every ball usually doesn't work unless you're seeing it like a beach ball and the bowler is tired as per the final wicket of the first innings. 5 dropped catches as well in an innings and Australians took 2 or 3 blinders... reminds me of my old South African youth coach 'catches win matches', sometimes we would do 3 hours of fielding in our practice on a Saturday morning, would at times be real boring, but we knew 'catches win matches'

Yet another cock-up with technology in favour of Australia in this tour, that's now 3 I think! The two in Perth when I was watching were outrageous really helped to swing the momentum. I have also noticed the picture quality is poor I think an IPhone could do better in some cases! I used to really like the hot spot technology that was really good to detect nicks.

How things have changed in cricket. I played at a decent level in my younger days, well before technology, in those days if you knew you were out, you walked. VAR, 3rd umpire, snickometer etc are ruining the game.
Ignoring all that, we had a decent day. Need to get Aussie out early tomorrow and bat sensibly all day. It's going to be 38c so keep them in the field all day. Best batting conditions for us, so take advantage.

Aussies out for under 400 at Adelaide in their first innings for only the second time this century. So we immediately lose three for only forty odd. I wish I lived in UK so I don't have to watch it.

Reactions: Bure budgie
Yes their bowlers are better esp Starc's left arm variation, but time and again it is our batting that is the issue each series we blame the bowlers, but invariably it comes down to not scoring the runs.

I agree Bure, I used to play a lot growing up, if you hit it you walked, simple as that.
