Third Test starts tomorrow.

Really entertaining series so far, but we need a win.

Aussie are a win at all cost outfit, and we need to be as ruthless.

The Western Terrace will give Aus a lot of grief. Johnny is one of theirs. Three Yorkies batting 3,4 and 5.

Third Test starts tomorrow.

Really entertaining series so far, but we need a win.

Aussie are a win at all cost outfit, and we need to be as ruthless.

Stokes was so close to single handedly getting the 2nd test for us. Bairstow was foolish, but it just adds to the stupid Aussies claiming a catch when Stark grounded the ball.

The Aussies are win at all costs as they have never been in a war for survival for their country so they treat sport as a war.

Come on England channel the rage into some good play and beat the Australians fair and square

Lunch 91 - 4.
Summary
  1. Broad has Warner caught in slips for four and Smith caught behind for 22
  2. Bairstow drops Smith on four and Head on nine
  3. Labuschagne edges Woakes to first slip for 21
  4. Fired-up Wood bowls Khawaja for 13
Bairstow keeps dropping catches.
Do we need a change of keeper?
Like him as a batsman, but his keeping is iffy

What a difference it is to have a proper express fast bowler. Just hopes he can stay fit for the rest of the summer. A 5 for with very impressive accuracy. He hit 96.5mph in his second over.

Yes, you always need one.

I often think Flintoff flattered to deceive, injuries play a big part when you bowl fast, but when he was at his best he was bowling 93-94mph. You can blow away the tail like that.

Summary
  1. Woakes top edges Starc behind to leave England 142-7 at lunch
  2. Moeen pulls short ball straight to fielder off Cummins
  3. Bairstow flays at wide Starc delivery and edges to slip for 12
  4. Root nicks Cummins to slip off second ball of the day
Disastrous morning for England

Summary
  1. Australia reach 29-1 tea, leading by 55
  2. Broad removes Warner for the 17th time in Tests - caught second slip
  3. Captains star as Stokes hits defiant 80 and Cummins takes 6-91 in England's 237
  4. Hosts counter-attack after lunch - Wood smacks 24 off eight balls
  5. Root, Bairstow, Moeen & Woakes all fall in dismal morning session for England
Better performance this afternoon.
Still going to be difficult

A fact about Duckett that was mentioned in the last test. In his first ten test matches while batting he left the ball only ten times. He has this compulsion to play at every single delivery.

Summary
  1. Crawley & Duckett survive tricky 25 minutes to reach 27-0 at close
  2. England need 251 to keep Ashes alive
  3. Head finally falls for superb 77 as Australia dismissed for 224
  4. Tourists lose last six wickets for 108 - Woakes, Wood & Broad take two each
  5. Most of day three lost to rain until 17:00 BST
Should be good tomorrow

Went to bed before play started expecting to wake up to find England had no hope of winning this match. Pleasant surprise on checking this morning. Go and do it guys.

We did well to not lose a wicket in that tricky spell before stumps. Hopefully the weather will hold its nerve as well as the English batsmen
