    Yeah I wouldn't go that far.

    Our defence looks shallow.

    Keepers aren't brilliant (hopefully your young lad can change that, Pickford?)

    CM is a worry.

    I do like the younger lads mind, who are going to their first tournament. It's a good start.

    Not convinced our 2002 squad was as good as the others you've mentioned there really. Our 'big threat' which Brazil talked up before the match was Emile Heskey and our best player of the tournament was probably Nicky Butt. Nothing against those two but if I've got to compare the current squad then I'm happy to do so with confidence. Main issue now is that our defence is shank, ten years ago we had Ferdinand, Campbell, Terry, Carragher, Woodgate, King and i think any pairing of those would be better than what we currently have.
