I was surprised he got in the starting 11 given he didn't start most of Man City's games, generally accepted by my Man City mates to have had a bang average season by his normal high standards. Generally his end product, particularly losing or giving away possession, so often lacking! Credit for the goals he scored, but anonymous against The Italians.
Didn't he come on vs Scotland ? perhaps it was the friendly vs Romania. In that case he was disappointing. Ps it's not scientific study. I missed Rashford out. Who did come on but didn't get the chance to do much. Not his fault.
I’m not a fan of Pickford at all. But he had an excellent tournament and couldn’t really have done any more. His kicking was dreadful at times, but you can’t argue against his clean sheets record or his penalty saves v Italy to try and keep us in the game. He’d probably get my vote - surprisingly.
