The club sponsors names says it all… Oak Furniture Land… solid, pieces that go together and work together…. Flamingo Land, ups and down, twists and turns and the ride sometimes make you sick….
George Boyd, Brucie reject celebrates a return to the Prem - maybe it will be Rosies turn next week - BRUCIE PLEASE **** OFF
Well done Burnley Elated for my Mac Nurse of the last 8 years He so deserves this for the awesome things he has done for me Happy as ****
Can't actually disagree. Boyd was a mistake letting him go and Rosenior was an appalling decision. Particularly as he could play LB and RB comfortably. Not like Dave playing LB.
Hindsight. We'd have kicked off if those rumours surfaced in the summer when we felt (at the time) our midfield was good enough.
To be fair Boyd wanted 1st team football and we couldn't guarantee him that. Think he was behind both Brady and Quinn at one stage. Rosie should have been retained - but we can't change that now so lets hope he gets another promotion on his CV next week. (But not if we end up playing Brighton in the play off final of course)
But you look at the ****e we got in to replace him? Boyd was captain consistent - I'd still have had him in my team over Ben Arfa and Ramirez that both offered 1 good performance in 10.
Boyd over Ben arfa definitely (based on their form for us) not gaston though glp he was a class above but due to injuries and Bruce unwilling to drop the Spurs duo we didn't see enough of him given a run of games
No arguments there but I think we were all excited that transfer deadline day when those two signings were announced. Unfortunately BA wasn't interested and Ramirez was more inconsistent than Diame.
Put it to bed FFS. Liam was offered a deal in the January but turned it down. He wanted 3 n half years at 31. He also wanted first choice money. He's a back up to both Dave and Robbo and Elmo. As he was for the last two seasons prior to this. Good luck to him. Same with Mcshane and Quinny, back ups wanting starting line up money.
I didn't rate Ramirez he only looks any good for Boro because he has found his level. He's a luxury player that a team like ours can't afford to carry. We need as a club grafters and athletes that can bust a gut for 95 minutes. Leicester have kind of set the blueprint for me on how to upset the hierarchy, not that I expect we'll see the Leicester outcome ever again, it shows that's the blue print for football going forward. Similar in style to Klopp and Pochettino. You look at our squad, as it stands and there's not many capable of delivering that kind of effort.
