Yep, Brighton were playing poorly but now winning 2-0. Burnley apparently poor so like you expecting a late winner. Quite relieved we get next week off to be honest.

Good to see results going our way.

A great solution to this whole 'looking at other teams results' situation would be for our own team to ****ing perform for once.

Leicester win again. 8 points clear.

It'll take a miracle for them to not win the title now.

I've just realised I am now as concerned by the results of Ipswich and Cardiff as Burnley. That's what the last minute at Boro last night has done to me!

Well done Robbie Brady. Scored the winner for Norwich. Hope they stay up.

TBH I was looking at the results today & I actually don't give a **** anymore. Maybe this 2 week break will give me some belief back into Hull, but I just don't feel it.

Thought Robbie was our most consistent player last season and still don't know why we bought Snodgrass and didn't spend that money on a decent striker. We had no need for extra width with the team we had already and I've not seen anything from Snoddy to suggest he brings anything special, even at this level. Some said he will bring a bit of mettle, but no evidence so far.

For all those who say we have the most expensive squad, don't forget that there is no way we would have paid the sums we did if we were not a Premier league team at the time and needed to pay over the odds to get people to come to Hull, as always. Not many of the squad are good enough if (big if at present) we go up, but some would prosper in the freedom given at the next level, but would be let down by lack of pace.

I don't really understand the thinking there. When we signed Snodgrass we didn't really need a striker because Long and Jelavic were both scoring about 1 in 3 (it felt like less because of the Cup run meaning they went ages time wise between goals). We were also still stuck with Sagbo, Prossy, and Aluko tying up wages as our backup strikers. 25 goals combined from our front 2 would have been fine for us in the second season, and our complaint had been a lack of creativity/attacking drive from midfield, exactly what Snodgrass had given to Norwich (I'm also still convinced he was brought in to play behind 1 or 2 strikers rather than on the wing). 6 weeks later when Long left and we needed a striker we spent £10M on Abel.

We can sit here now and question the specific players bought, but I thought last summer our transfer deals were pretty much perfect in terms of signing what we needed at the times we needed them. We were never in the second season going to have 3 £7M plus strikers on our books when so much needed to be spent on the midfield. Livermore's loan was over so who did we have in the squad? Quinn, Meyler, Boyd, and Huddlestone, anyone else? (Elmo stuck at RB/RWB as only option and Brady at LB/LWB for same reason until Robertson came in)

Our problem last season wasn't not signing a striker in June, it was that in the course of the summer we correctly addressed the lack of drive and creativity in midfield with these 5 signings but not one of them worked out (starting with the ones the club can be least blamed for not seeing the problems coming):

    Snodgrass (injured on debut)
    Livermore (well documented personal issues)
Ince (not Gareth Bale even if his dad says he is)
Diame (effectively ended his season through injury in October)
EDIT - Ramirez (nowhere near match ready after a season out)
    Ben Arfa (clown shoe)
