If Boro fail to win tomorrow it will make things interesting for Wednesday. Consider that they will then be at least 4 points behind us (with the worst attack in the league) and will have to win, a draw won't be good enough. That should influence Silva's tactics because if we go gung ho and concede a breakaway goal they have the defence to park the bus, but if we keep things tight they will have to abandon their naturally defensive style which should give us a better chance of winning.
Just watching Chelsea v Palace.... this week it has been said that referees get 90+% of decisions right... Why is that they get the ones that really matter wrong...!!!!... Certain penalty for Chelsea ...Townsend
You look at the Premier League and there's a massive gulf in quality. You have the top 7: 3 in London and two in both Liverpool and Manchester. Add Southampton. The rest are pretty poor.
I liked Son Heung-min's reaction to his goal. He just picked the ball up and trotted back. None of this stupid dancing and rehearsed rubbish. Then he goes and spoils it and kisses Alli!
I remember a Tony Hancock sketch where he'd have eight draws if a team with a late kick-off drew so he went along to the match the score yo-yoed and the other fans couldn't make out who he supported with his varied cheering and encouragement!
If palace hadn't won I wouldn't be too bothered either way , don't want another team hitting 30 point mark this weekend tho
We have to believe we'll beat Boro, if we don't any other speculation becomes irrelevant 'cos we'll almost certainly be doomed.
MS continues to get points at KCOM... cant see anything different on Wednesday - he has to get an away win. Im thinking of Stoke away or saints
Silva should be at Swansea today. That game will show Boro's tactics away to a team deep in relegation trouble which should be very close to what their tactics will be on Wednesday.
I think Agnew will try and attack, knowing they need 4-6 pts vs Swansea & Hull City however this will undermine the way they play and end up with zilch
As said earlier in the thread , Burnley don't beat Stoke this week and they will start nervously looking over their shoulders , funny how a couple of results changes so much , they looked miles clear a month or so ago
