I think we're misreading each others points

We completely agree we are starting a new chapter in the club's history.

I totally agree with you, when Hodgson was here most of the team was Rafa's and people wanted him back to replace Hodgson because they felt his sacking was unjust after just one bad season. Then when Dalglish came in he stopped the talk about Benitez for a bit but when the results turned sour in the league a small element of our internet fanbase started clamouring for Rafa again. Now that Rafa has been dismissed for the third time in a row by FSG in 18 months or so I think the small minority that were campaigning for Rafa have finally realised that he will not manage the club again under FSG.

And its funny when people start talking about this Rafa pressing game, his tactics are now outdated and need developing like Mourinho and Guardiola developed their own teams. This is why he's been left out of work for 18 months and no champions league club will currently touch him with a bargepole, because he hasn't developed his tactics much since his Valencia days. Top managers are flexible, Rafa has so far proved he isn't and will find it hard getting a club much bigger than Aston Villa or Birmingham unless he develops his techniques.

    ^^^What he said.

Might be symbolic in your mind, but you'd have to get rid of half the squad to totally eradicate the Rafa era, but why do that? Lots of good things from the Rafa era, that is why many of us would have had him back.
