I had us at a very conservative 11th...protecting myself from pain. Recently someone asked me if I'd accept 9th now...definitely not after this start. I have hopes of better. It would be great to finish in top 5, but the season is very long and injuries can happen. Would say 6-8th would be good.
I think the lowest prediction anyone made was 11th (which I and a couple of others predicted). Wanted to remain realistic and thought people were getting a bit carried away, clearly not! Newcastle got promoted, the next season consolidated themselves and then came fifth - why can't we do the same?
Thought I'd bump this thread. My prediction may not be so bad after all. With the exception of Man United, Sunderland and Hull that table's fairly close to what it is now.
So then... with 8th all but confirmed (barring some ridiculous goal swing), who called it right? Answer: AdkinsArmy, SaintBirdsnest, Lamballana, tomw19. Well done chaps. Although a lot called 7th and 9th.
You mean with the exception of Man U, Liverpool, Swansea, Fulham, West Brom, Sunderland, Cardiff, Hull, Palace, and West Ham!
