The positives were many. We improved as time went on, Ale back, defence vastly improving, Mbia coming in etc. However the one positive I will underline, if the OP will allow me, also highlights a negative. I thought at least one if not two of the City goals were preventable. I think Cesar might have saved one if not too. So that is my final positive (in a negative sort of way) - I'm glad Cesar will be in goal against Chelsea.
As we all know this season we can look at the bench and feel confident that we have quality waiting to come on,unlike seasons gone by. So the law of averages will dictate that we can have a plan b if things are not working out. Of course as we all know it was the lesser teams that we struggled with last season but that is/will change over this season that my friends is a fact.
