Various posters and pundits have likened our rise up the Premier League table to that of Blackpool’s last season. Having just checked the stats from last season, between early Feb and the end of the season, Blackpool amassed 11 points – IF we were to do the unthinkable and only pick up another 11 points, that would give us 43 and I’m sure guaranteed PL football next season as well.
On a slightly different topic, I think that our season ticket prices for next season are quite reasonable (I know one championship side which charges more!!) and I’m sure for some fans the increase will be too much, especially when you add on the ‘extras’ of – travel to and from the ground, a couple of pints before/after the match and any snacks you may have at half time. I’m quite sure that we’ll still be having crowds in excess of 26,000, even without any increase to ground capacity.
