Various posters and pundits have likened our rise up the Premier League table to that of Blackpool’s last season. Having just checked the stats from last season, between early Feb and the end of the season, Blackpool amassed 11 points – IF we were to do the unthinkable and only pick up another 11 points, that would give us 43 and I’m sure guaranteed PL football next season as well.

On a slightly different topic, I think that our season ticket prices for next season are quite reasonable (I know one championship side which charges more!!) and I’m sure for some fans the increase will be too much, especially when you add on the ‘extras’ of – travel to and from the ground, a couple of pints before/after the match and any snacks you may have at half time. I’m quite sure that we’ll still be having crowds in excess of 26,000, even without any increase to ground capacity. :emoticon-0102-bigsm
 
I'm pleased that on Match of the Day that Swansea were at last compared to Blackpool, not us for once, but this was dismissed rather quickly by Shearer!





Or it may have just been their kit.
 
Any other comparisons. I think QPR are the new Newcastle 2009. Overpaid individuals, not a team, leading to inevitable relegation.
 
Two entirely different Premiership seasons.The bottom five clubs have 96 points between them.At the same point in 2011 the total was 124.It wouldnt surprise me at all to see our current 32 points being somewhere near the survival line come May.

I agree with your comment. Of the 3 promoted sides they have spent the most money on players with supposed 'Premier League experience' and where has it got them???

I would just like to add - 'Thank goodness Tony Fernandes decided not to invest in NCFC!!!'. As I see it - DM does what he's good at and leaves PL to do what he's good at. Can't see that being the case had TF had a 'finger in the pie!!!'


Good spot CT - I would agree that I think another 3 or 4 points will see us above the 3 relegation places.
 
The crucial difference is that Lambert has never taken his eye off the ball, he has minded his own business and rarely if ever talks about any other team. Contrast this with rent-a-quote Gobaway, who seems to think he is the new Brian Clough. The more he jabbered away to the media about stuff that had nothing to do with him, the more Blackpool slipped down the league.

A case in point this season is Poyet - Brighton were going well and then Poyet decides to get involved in the Suarez business and Brighton have slid down the table.
 
Just for a change Blackpool were compared to us!

Stayed up after MotD to watch the football league show and after Blackpool scored three in the last 10 minutes to beat Cardiff, Leroy Rosenior said 'late goals were a hallmark of Norwich's success last season and Blackpool are starting to emulate hem' or something similar.
 
Blackpool look like they could be back in the prem with us next season. Playing some great stuff at the moment.

Anyone watch the Chelski - Utd game earlier? What a watch haha!!
