Hate is exactly it, plus bitterness and a massive dollop of jealousy.

They talk about the headhunters etc as if that's still going on. Chelsea have massively cleaned up their act (as have most of those clubs from that era). Wonder if the Queens still hate the Germans and the Japanese for their past crimes or is it just with a football club that spout this ridiculous bile?

They need to get over us, it's pathetic. Queen Ellers being number one noob.

I agree with an earlier comment about not wanting to sing all the time. You do want to watch the game too. An atmosphere isn't purely singing. Constant cheers and yells good and bad throughout a game help' On radio the big dread is called 'Dead Air' when there, for whatever reason, complete silence. Now you will always get so many people farting when there are so many in one place, but in large crowd terms you do get periods of Dead Air during a match. What is noticeable is there seem to be lots of Dead Air moments and that is when we get debates like this.

I mentioned standing on another thread. For Chelsea apparently increasing the capacity at the Bridge is not the issue, but getting a larger crowd in and out safely, so standing may not be allowed due to this.

Also I don't think anyone has mentioned that society is different from the days of huge singing crowds of the past. The younger generations are more literate, tech savvy and brought up in a far more commercial environment than in the past. It all make for a different social character and that too impacts on how fans behave at matches.

Ellers, the tourists arrived at the Bridge before Roman arrived... late 90s, early 00s. We averaged 39030, 39770 in the two seasons preceding Roman; and get 41k now.

The newbie fans arrived at the Bridge, like every other club after Sky Sports got big mid90s.

Forest averaged 20k as European Cup holders in the 80s, and 23k in Div 2 in the 00s after Sky.

QPR have tourist fans too: 47k plastic-flag Wembley day-trippers... and only 400 at Burton, 1800 at Spurs and 1300 at Old Trafford this season.

And according to this impartial study this season, the atmosphere at LR is worse than SB <laugh>

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...eague-grounds-by-Jim-White.html?frame=3093726

I would agree that Stoke, Swansea, Palace and the Etihad are much noisier than Loftus.

Last season we were rated in the top 10 by decibel levels: http://www.tsmplug.com/top-10/loudest-fans-in-premier-league/ ahead of QPR too.

Of course, the atmos v the likes of Burnley, QPR, Leicester etc is s**t though. No denying that

Please don't confuse Ellers with an articulate post. He'd rather just spout bile and generalisations.

Great post LOEW. Filed with actual useful information and stats as opposed to certain little trolls.

400 at Burton, what support!! We get bigger queues for a half time pint!

Nobody cares what you have to say on here, due to all that you write on here being tedious repetitive ****e. Take the hint and do one.

I've been to Chelsea on a few occasions and can say it is no more quieter or louder than Man U, Arsenal or Liverpool. The quietest ground I have been to is Goodison Park while of the top Prem Clubs Spurs seemed the noisier and it was noticeable that they appeared to have fans from a more working class background than the other London clubs

The thing with Spurs though is that they are not really a big club like Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd, Liverpool or City. They are more on a par with Everton, Newcastle and the 'second tier' of clubs. What happens generally with these clubs is that they don't get the big corporate or tourist followings and coupled with not being expected to win against the big clubs, when they play them it's like a cup final for them, so the atmosphere is always good. Watch the spuds struggling against some unknown part timers from Greece on a thursday night though and the atmosphere will be much different.

Are the queues for prawn sandwiches? Funny how once again you dumb lot have to move away from the debate and change it because you can't offer a decent reply. This is about Jose saying you have s@@te fans which you do not that QPR took 400 to Burton. Great pick out games where our support has been low what does that prove? Im not talking about the number of fans I'm talking about the quality. Agree the support at Burton was low but they made more noise than your 40k and that's a fact. Your library at SB is shocking and don't complain about who you are playing because real fans support the team no matter what. Unless of course it's A club full of tourists. No we don't have the fans of a Chelsea like you don't of an Arsenal or Manu or Liverpool (even Spurs and West Ham have more real fans than you). And one last thing before I go, don't ever knock our fantastic support at Wembley because you have never taken that many to the New Wembley (fact) and I remember certain Champs League games where a club called Chelsea didn't sell out or the game at Wembley that had plenty of spaces. Give me 400 real fans any day than 40k plastic tourists. as Jose said the Chelsea fans are s@@te. Cheers

Nice angry bite Ellers. The WUM gets WUMMED <laugh>

Maybe some of your 47k Wembley gloryhunters will take their plastic flags a few miles down the road to the Lane next season. Then you will take more than 1800 of your 3000 allocation.<ok>

All the top PL teams have poor fans for making noise. Mainly because most of the people there aren't 100% loyal to your club. Theres always a great atmosphere at Bristol City games because everyone inside is a genuine supporter and not a plastic fan. Crystal palace have a great vocal support, same league and same city and they are nowhere near as good as chelsea but again all the supporters at selhurst are loyal. People come to your ground for the stadium/players/manager... not to support you. If Jose wants atmosphere he'll have to drop down a league or 2.... we'll take him if you really want :D<ok>

    1. No he didn't.
    2. No it's not a fact.
    3. Because we haven't played tin pot games like play offs where you get more tickets. Try getting to an fa cup final where you get a 25k allocation and then try and take 40k plus. Do you get this or should I draw a picture in crayon. Moron.
    4. We didn't sell out a low key chapions league group game once out of protest to ticket prices. Check your facts that you spout so much. And it was still a gate bigger than you've had in decades at that tin pot ground of yours.

Also to state the support of 400 at Burton was 'low' is like saying the Nazi's were a bit mean. It's ****ing embarrassing mate.

I assume he's referring to the FA Cup semi at Wembley against Spurs when we actually DID sell our full allocation given to us by the FA.

    Broken record Ellers.
