If its 500 seats per game there's 3,000 plus 1,500 in the Palace end takes you over halfway towards your 8,000 total
The KC elf n safety clowns will always make sure we have empty seats somewhere regardless. Nobody has a clue about proper segregation. They should get down to Spurs and see how they do it.
Club are League Two in all but league position Pretty certain I could increase turnover excluding TV revenues and Premier League monies by 20% within a month. Actually, I'm pretty certain most with half a brain could too
Unfortunately, this is true, our shop, our sponsorship deals, our all round attitude remains lower league.
Rubbish. Steve Bruce and the squad are doing ok. As for the rest....well,, Bottom of championship more like.
Hard to understand how all this hasn't been looked at in the quest to increase revenue , makes the name change thing even stranger
My seat's empty - I have a season pass but since I need nourishment and NOT punishment I don't bother turning up.
Completely agree, our marketing is a shambles, out retail operation is dreadful, our sponsorship details are low end companies; who by all accounts are hardly paying top-whack either. We're not selling the seats we've got, we need to concentrate on those before any others.
Quick Wins 1) Increase the size of the club shop, or have a couple of mobile shops that are brought in and out for match days 2) Sort out the air con in the club shop - many a time i've walked in and straight out again 3) They may have it, but I don't think so, but contactless payment is needed via hand held devices. Employ twice as many people with them to deal with the queues 4) Hand out money off vouchers to the club shop for fans going into the stadium valid for the hour after the game only 5) Incorporate a smoking section for half time with incorporated bar to ease congestion slightly 6) Vending machines for plastic bottled drinks for half time 7) ex players available pre-game for fans with kids to arrive early, spending hard earned on drinks pies etc - similar the the Everton set up 8) Fill the ground - been mentioned above - bring a friend for a tenner - might have to move seats to sit together but it is possible - even if the offer is only activated via email a couple of days before the game when you can see what ticket numbers are 9) Guest beers - extra cost - people will spend a little more on quality 10) Incentivise the current teams working in the retail outlets in the ground to work that little bit quicker. Quicker service means fewer queues which should get more people to buy
Increase range and quality of club shop items, ffs. Not everyone wants a foam hand or a garden gnome.
I bet the garden gnomes sell well though! I've a few City polo t-shirts knocking about. I'd buy more but then generally look pretty poor. You're entirely right about the range.
Not since AP left, and even when he was here, during the AA reign, it would appear to me that his hands were tied
Well, all these ideas should be handed to Mr. Allam as he has been waiting for CTWD to come up with suggestions for increasing revenue. I'm sure that if someone sat down and did proper sales and revenue projections it would add up to a very decent amount.
From memory we got a bit when Duffen was around didn't we? I remember in Summer 09 (I think anyway) I was late renewing my pass and got a personalised message from the club with a few key players shirts hung up and my name amongst them. I can't remember receiving any other sort of personal or even segmented communications from the club since.
Anybody notice the Hull FC 'trypod' that has opened up outside St.Stephen's? ...if they can afford to take promotions to the masses, why can't/don't we?
