JOE said "Stan" wasn't a collaboration with Dido, it was originally just a Dido song which Eminem later sampled. OR was it a track that Eminem wrote and produced it had sampled some lyrics from Dido's "thank you" then record companies got involved to help promote Dido in the states? I think some one needs to learn how to research. As for selling amounts of records, It will be very hard for anyone to sell more records than previous top artists due to different formats and illegal file sharing. Eminem has worked under other many names (not just marshall &slim shady), made films, wrote lyrics and scripts for others, been involved with etting up programs to help fund the poorer areas so kids have more options than just crime. He may not be a genius in the traditional sense, but the boy has done very very good.
Eminem's not bad. He's done some good songs, like Sing for the Moment.... He's also done some absolutely awful songs.
I'll also say that of the rappers i've seen live only Eminem and Dizzie Rascal (if he counts) have been good. Plus he's in a genre where at least starting up your race makes a big difference.
Yeah he's fallen off, but he was always gonna be a bit weird when he sobered up. How anyone can listen to Any Man, and not recognise his skills is beyond me.
Completely agree...anyone who writes lyrics about raping your own mother???? i mean please why do some people worship this idiot!!! Also he pulled a gun on his ex wifes new boyfriend and used his wealth in court to get away with it...
While we are on eminem does anyone believe in this illuminati ****? I've read the reason he has gone soft lately is because he is trying to escape the illuminati.
Well I've done some research mate, and I've come back with the following information: Dido wrote "Thank You" in 1998 and it was on the soundtrack of the film Sliding Doors, two years before Eminem released "Stan". So yes, it was a song that Dido wrote and Eminem sampled.
Dido's done some great songs. Here With Me Don't Leave Home Life For Rent White Flag Thank You, while not my favourite, is still a nice song. Does anyone else here like Dido?
