Fair comment, as I said why slag your team off when the game is ongoing, Larsson should have put the pen away, he really should have - the game pivoted on that moment.

See, personally I think it pivoted on Bendtner not busting a gut to get in the box.
For a young lad he disappointed me today with his lack of effort.
He once again showed some world class touches, laid off the ball, then just stood and watched as if to say well that's my job done.
When Sess was doing it, he was sprinting to get into position to receive the ball back.
 
Disagree with embarrasing as was pointed out earlier we looked decent until the pen but to lose from there is more scary than anything as once again we have dominated for large spells and lost which for me only points to relegation. O neill needs to get his wand out.

Not a sunderland fan but followed them when I worked for a short while in the North East. Watched the game on Sky today. Sunderland should have won; but dear oh dear Bendtner and the other guy up front were awful. And that penalty was frankly pathetic. Defence OK (although Brown looked the weakness) but Sessignon in particular looked class as is Richardson.

O Neil should have a relatively easy job to enable you to survive but you really need strengthening up front - urgently so the transfer window will be key. The TV showed a few shots of O Neil and two of his new backroom staff - a former defender and goalkeeper. Both looked really ancient especially the goalkeeping coach but I hope O Neil has someone in mind to help your strikers. I suppose O Neil knows what he is doing - let's hope so.

Sorry mate but since you have been following safc for so long you should know better......yes we got beat yes we made some mistakes....but far far from embarrassing....the only sad thing is that it is now clear that black wears the trousers in the bruce black team...we should have won..simples
