I was going to joke that it might have been you but its really bad, he would rather Park score an OG for us so he could abuse him than score for us because it would mean hed have to shut up. Its a very weird mental state and he cant have a good life at all.
Are you sure that they were in fact QPR fans, 15 pounds a ticket for a 'prem' team match may attract all sorts of people and fans.
There was another thread which said the crowd seemed to have a much larger proportion of local, salt of the earth, West Londoners than usual, because of the cheaper tickets. Judging by this thread it's a good job they can't afford to go all the time. There are a large number of cretins who only come to moan at league games, don't know if I could stand even more of the ignorant twats....
I was surprised yesterday at lower league chesterfield that a crowd of about 4,000 made so much noise. They even have the obligatory drummer to gee the crowd up. Frankly as a neutral I enjoyed the day. Sometimes when I go to rangers away games our support seems to spend half the time arguing amongst themselves. Never really understood tgat
Unfortunately its part of the game, always has been and always will be. Send the ****s to R block and we will have a word
As an adolescent standing behind the goal at the Loft end I did, and yelled, some absolute bollox looking back. Once I hit the age of 16 or thereabouts, all that stopped as I realised the negative effect I'd been contributing to. Ever since I've been verbal in my praise of good effort and silent in my disdain for rubbish. I think most of us are a bit like that. The only thing I wish for at Rangers is more collective, harmonious 'voice' all around the ground - as much with the standard 'come on you Rs' dirge as with the witty chants that emanate from R Block from time to time, and at away games. For all of it's close fit and intimidating potential, the atmosphere at LR is far too morgue-like for the most part. Often think it'd be great if we had 'orchestrating' fans in every block to stage manage the desired effect. The negative to that is of course the tinseled 'Americanisation' that comes with it, so maybe not such a good idea. As for individual lunatics in the crowd. Unless they could be outlawed and shepherded out in some acceptable way, they're an inevitable reality unfortunately. Hate it when I've got one near me tbh - so completely understand where Scot's coming from in his OP.
Aaaahhhhhh, let's not tar all the Loftus Rd 'tourists' with the same brush!.......and.....I promise I'll behave next time I'm over. If I'm not behaving, or sounding knowledgeable, then 999 has promised will give me a slap of his double ladder!
Good OP. We'll never achieve uniformity of opinion on this matter but I have never booed my team or any individual in it and never will. IMO, silence is the worst protest I can muster.
Some of the players this year have treated us with disdain, at £80k a week shout abuse at me all you like ****ers
having been reduced to watching QPR on sky the last 2 seasons( shouldn't complain really they don't show championship games here) either it was me in the lower loft making all the noise or sky have all the microphones up the away end I remember the atmosphere being great but on tv you mainly hear the away support as for the morons at the game on Saturday were chelsea not at home then
