It might not say it in the article, but the link on the sport page does... Arsenal could face PSV or Fenerbahce in Champions League play-off... but Celtic have got it easy
Hardly an implication that UEFA have it in for Asenal, the teams we could face are easier opposition than Arsenal
That was what Harry meant though. Some Celtic fans can't read anything about the club without seeing imagined bias or masonic conspiracies
I appreciate im biased and want to see us sign good players - but got to agree here A decent investment - maybe even as much as £10m (hell maybe even more) could see us get CL group stages football every year for the next 3 to 4 seasons. We should win the league the next 2 at the very least (no disrespect to the others) and Rangers will take a few years catching up (if we invest if we dont it might not). It would Build our co-efficient and we could be moving to less and less qualifiers each year and closer to the pot of money. We'd also have the talent to hopefully make the qualifiers more of a formality. The board must sure see the benefit of buy talents like Hooper/Forster (neither was cheap )and pay more on freebes like ledley and not only get the product on the pitch to perform in the CL but to get the CL wad. CL football also gave Wanyama and Hooper (and others) the platform to perform to make other teams bid for them - had Wanyama not done so well in the CL there is no way we would have got £12.5m for him. Even hooper CL football gave an EPL club the confidence he may be capable of performing in the EPL. Problem will be group stages each year alone may be it on our income - even with CL money each year. As Mick said we got luckly last season. With our budget we are realistically a bottom of the group team every year unless they overperform like last year
