I don't get why people are against massive bans for deliberate handballs and diving but barely anyone seems to think that about stuff like Cattermole's blatant kick out at Meyler.
Quinny's got 3 assists! He's hardly played. Can we put to bed this nonsense about him having no end product yet?
Two were corners (qpr away and villa away) and one was a simple ordinary pass to Diame deep in midfield from which Diame scored that incredible 25 yard goal. None of which are particularly examples of end product. What it does tell us though is he's probably a better set piece taker than the rest. I'll swear they're near enough the only two set pieces we've scored all season.
I thought Elmo's crossing had improved a lot this season to be honest. We also scored from a Ramirez corner against Sunderland Hat.
I'm sure it wasn't a corner at Villa, it was a free kick from deep wasn't it? Your point stands though.
We didn't score from a corner at Villa, Quinn's assist was a header, he flicked the ball on from a free-kick before Jelavic put it in. We have scored from 6 set-pieces this season. 2 corners, 3 free-kicks and 1 penalty. Only Swansea and Southampton have scored fewer from set-pieces with 5 and 3. Palace and Arsenal have the most with 16 each.
Davies has contributed nothing this season in that regard, hopefully Dame and Jelly together might gives us more of a threat from set-pieces
Jelly is always on the keeper, I don't understand why as he's easily up there as one of our best players at attacking the ball in the air. Same with Elmo who is usually kept back.
