It would be a good price but Bruce wasnt given a January transfer budget. Bruce is spending next seasons transfer budget. Lets say we dont go up, what is the plan for next season?

This is probably a reaction to Sunderland's home defeat last night to Bolton.......

 

I say spend it now. If we don't go up, with the addition of Fryatt back, we'd only need a couple of loan's and freebies to finish off the squad, so wouldn't really need a transfer kitty.

Agreed. But Elmo was poor on saturday and i wonder if he is carrying an injury. ? But it was interesting to note that yet again FC was only involved for Sunderland last night from the bench in the 71st minute.. Maybe a BOGOF type deal with Elmo and FC will be announced soon ?

With only Peterborough (subject to the weather) this saturday and then back to the FAC the week after @ home to Barnsley at least its come at the right time. If there is ever a right time for such messing about.!!!

 

Not a good plan to spend all your money now. Fryatt could get injured again or someone else could. You have to go into next season with some amount of money set aside to protect you. The other options are that the owners add a bunch of money to next seasons transfer budget.

 

If MON forces us to buy Elmo now for £1million I think he will have done us a favour. I only wish Wenger could have forced us to buy Mannone for the same price last Summer.

Anyway as it seems as if we're passing through a heavy **** shower at the moment my prediction for the next revelation (before Saturday) will be SB and Old Man Allam giving up football and eloping to a lovely little cottage in Tuscany.

 

The next report will be Chester being sold to finance the purchase of Elmo and FC.

IMO MON doesn't want or rate Elmo. If had of done he would of got more of chance last season, they wouldn't have spent £10m on Adam Johnson and they wouldn't of agreed a season long loan with a agreed fee at the end of it. Like others have said I think MON is trying to force our hand into signing him earlier.

 

Been out in the Hot Californian Sun today have we Ellwoods ? I would not overly worry myself about this situation at the moment. MON has to sell and get players off the wage bill before he can add more. Danny Graham is now reported to have rejected all clubs apart from Sunderland. He wants to go home.

As for Chester being sold ? Not a chance. Remain calm all is well.
