I'm obviously aware that it's still a debt, but a debt to the owner personally is far better than a debt to a bank or the tax man, as it's not going to be called in. We're also going to trade at a profit this season, which is more than can be said for most Premier League clubs.
Depends on your relationship to with the bank. We owed over 70 million to the bank through our overdraft facility. We've just wiped 95% of that debt out and free to dip back into our overdraft to recruit this summer. Looking at Newcastle, their owner has them by the balls with the debt owed to him. They would have made very good profits in recent years but have only broke even because Ashley dipped in and took all the profit to repay debt. Debt is debt, you're in somebody's pocket. Just depends who owns the pocket and what they want to do. Hopefully for you lot Allam stays sweet because he could make things very difficult if he wanted to.
A lot of good points there Smug..but they did beat us 3 times last season he he I was always anti-Elmo but he seems to have improved and I did think we got rid of Myler too quickly. There CBs were okay as well, Hudd was supposed to come to us but we acted like cheapskates and lost him (did we dodge the proverbial bullet?). For us Short has to stump up more cash and we need to spend wiser than usual.
I thought Elmo had something about him. Strong, fast and direct, just what MoN needed for his failing counter attacking philosophy. He could have done a job that season imo.
Elmo did make one awful back pass that should have led to a goal, though. Looked very handy, but seemed to spend a lot of time at the back. McShane? 'Nuff said...
The debt the Hull owner holds is a two-edged sword. Getting his money back would mean him selling the club but the debt is what would also put prospective buyers off. Any serious buyers would also have to fund a new stadium or forever be seen as a club sharing a small ground with a rugby club. Reminiscent of when we'd have to share our Sunday league pitch, once a fortnight, with the regular car boot sale ........... ....... the bastards would start booing if we played too much injury time and they were waiting to set up
Well that and the inevitably unavoidable dog **** he'd step into in his £50,000 designer loafers on his tour of the city. The deal breaker, all the dog ****.
Fairly sure it was UK City of culture, not to be mistaken with European Capital of Culture. **** version, fittingly.
It's the equivalent of the 'special award' to the slow kid who won **** all on junior school sports day
Yeah but Hull only have one of those awards, I've got three of them 'special awards' you mention. Ergo cogito sum, I'm better than Hull.
Both ****e, play for **** club, with utter **** fans, and a knacker of an owner and manager...A match made in heaven/hell/ **** all this Ull ****e. Just stop this ****e...Let the ****s drown in self pity....The rat eating tramps.
I notice you always want to talk about the posters and not the subject of the thread ....... this isn't a dating website you know. You wisely stay away from anything related to football where you usually get your arse kicked, you're showing signs of intelligence at least.
Have you posted something about football? Sorry, I must have missed that one, all I ever see is nonsense about Hull being a ****-hole. And you live in Mansfield ffs.
You did miss it, as usual, so I'll paste my original post for you again ......... yet another **** up from you, it's serial I notice you fail to address any of my points on football, wise considering your previous fails. "Looking at the Hull team, and bench, I can't see anything but another season of concern about relegation. Even with the two cup-tied players they have a very weak squad and some poor players, especially considering Europe. They carried on their current league form by conceding 3 goals, their average over the last month, and never looked like defending that lead. They look as though they'll need 7 or 8 players better than they have now starting with the goalkeeper. I can't see their owner funding that. Being in a council owned ground, they share with rugby, isn't an attractive proposition for a new owner so they may be stuck with him. The second season syndrome will hit them and Bruce doesn't have the nous to change things when they go wrong. He stood watching, way too long, when it was obvious Wenger had altered things and Arsenal were going on to win. After being handed a final place, on a plate, it was surprising to see Hull allow the chance to slip away." How the **** could anyone have missed that ......... or my second post, also about football, "The debt the Hull owner holds is a two-edged sword. Getting his money back would mean him selling the club but the debt is what would also put prospective buyers off. Any serious buyers would also have to fund a new stadium or forever be seen as a club sharing a small ground with a rugby club. Reminiscent of when we'd have to share our Sunday league pitch, once a fortnight, with the regular car boot sale ........... ....... the bastards would start booing if we played too much injury time and they were waiting to set up " So then, Mr Big Bollocks how about backing up your drivel and showing everyone where I said Hull was a ****hole? Otherwise I'll continue to believe you're a liar and a hypocrite
