I'm not going to comment on that we watched yesterday, but i've been looking for Ellis Shorts interview on safc.com and can't find it. Is it on there and it's just me?

It was announced as coming "soon" but I wasn't aware that there was any suggestion it had happened yet. If anyone has seen it, maybe they can post a link. The club site isn't always great for navigation. I realise he'll get a tame interviewer, ie from the club, but I hope he's asked if he still expects a top 10 finish.
I read that somewhere but can't remember where it was. Yes i can, it was in the gossip columns of the BBC Sport site.

Arsenal at Emirates.
Expects to improve year in year out while remaining financially sound. Wants to finish in the top ten year in and year out and "never be relegated again"
Attendances disappointing, surprised that during a successful season attendances still aren't great. Just because we have his financial support doesn't mean we don't need fans support. Delighted that a game (liverpool) which was being shown on tele was still a sell out.
Pleased to be looking ahead of us and not behind us in terms of the table.

He says all the right things but with that steel that makes you think he means it. If we dont improve each year I think Bruce will know about it.

He's not exactly giving much away though is he? he's not said anything that we didn't already know.
I thought the same. In fact I wouldn't fancy the boardroom in May/June if I was Bruce and we hadnt nailed that top 10 finish!
Listened finally to it last night and thought what a pity his upbeat words - especially about how the world would be watching the packed SoL for SAFC v Liverpool, and wanting us to be respected by the football world - ended up looking daft when you imagine what most neutrals watching will really have thought about the way we played for the last hour.

Short comes over has the type of owner we should love and the tyme Quinn and Bruce should respect. We all assumed from what we have seen that he is the kind of guy who sits in the background letting his management team get on with the job, that he does. After seeing him and listening to him I think we also no that no bad tempered tantrums or hairdryer throwing will come from him, just quiet questions of why this did not work, why we did not perform and what are we doing about it. I can see why Keane walked, he would hate dealing with Short because Short would not accept his, "I am Roy Keane" attitude.
get the feeling though if the goods are not delivered, and quickly, he wont be shy at making hard decision. dont get to where he is with out being able to make difficult and sometime harsh decisions, he may love safc but he is a ruthless businessman.
