Eliot Richards believes boss Mark McGhee's wealth of experience as a top-level marksman can be a major boost to his own football education. Richards, aged 20, marked McGhee's arrival at the club by scoring in each of his first two games in charge – although since then the majority of his appearances have been from the bench as the manager has looked at a variety of starters.

richards says:-
"I think he is still trying to find his best players and the best formation. There is competition for places and I'm fighting for a new contract as I'm up in the summer. I think I started off well enough under the new manager, but I've been on the bench recently. You can still learn things there though because the gaffer talks to us during the game about what players are doing. We have been doing extra sessions with him, working on our shooting, and that has been a real help. He has a lot of experience and he's been helping me and the other strikers a great deal."

we are in no real danger of going down and we wont get to the play offs. so mcghee is fully planning on next season. richards comments above confirms mcghee is still trying different tactics and formations with the players to be able to get the best out of the players. he has varied his line up each week to give everyone a chance to prove themself and he has tried players out of position so he knows if they can fill in or not, when cover is needed.

doing this we have lost just 2 out of 11 games! not bad. but we been getting too many draws. mcghee has definately improved our defending situation. he has made us hard to beat whoever he plays in the team. but we have struggled to score at this expense. its great to know that mcghee is working on this. having extra training sessions with the strikers on shooting. lets see how long it takes for that to pay off :)

i am still over the moon having mcghee has manager.

This sums up what this club has been missing. A manager with the experience and know-how to take this club forward and I'm pleased that young players like Richards can see his vision, that will be very important for his development in his career and that can only be a good thing for this club.
McGhee is well and truly a breath of fresh air <ok>

Yep certainly looks promising, but then we said the same about Buckle so im going to wait a little while longer before calling him the next gas god :)

Made a good start though so far
