Swords, in Sweden they have a 5 month period of mourning every year in honour of daylight. The fact that they are obsessed with energy saving and only seem to use 20 watt light bulbs makes the perpetual gloom even more moving. Then in April they have a big party as they find all the things they left in the garden and haven't been able to see since October.
