I think rafa did well and it was refreshing to be hard to beat.. if bruce has initial succces id argue rafa laid the defensive foundations that allowed bruce to add pace sbd attacking succesfully.. the situation rafa picked up was much much worse than bruce has or what your batty boy pardew inherited from hughton when sacked in 11th place.
Nah Rafa ain't taking no further credit for me. Different system, new players, so any success Bruce has is down to Bruce. I'd argue against Pardew though because unlike with Rafa, Hughton had a fairly simplistic system which Pardew didn't actually change all that much. I think Hughton was building towards what Pardew went on to do, hence I didn't agree with him being sacked. It was Hughton who brought Hatem in on loan so you could see he wanted to change us but wasn't given the chance.
