The mayor told her they had no room to expand so she told him to build on the greenbelt, he told her to **** off.
This week she has told Oldham council they have to build 1500 new homes and was told once again there was no land to build them on.

Really happy to see mayors standing up for the areas and greenbelt, we need countryside to help with climate change.
Also the stupid bitch has promised to build 1.5 million new homes during their stay in power despit the fact the English birthrate has fallen dramatically over the years and still is. Who are all these new homes for?

Meanwhile in reality. There are something like 150,000 children technically homeless, living in temporary accommodation or unsuitable housing. Loads of families living in sub standard or unsafe accommodation, something like 3.5m homes, an aging population who live longer and are increasingly living more independently from extended families, something like 3.5m young adults who live at home with their parents because supply and demand for housing pushes prices beyond their reach and this doesn’t even take into account the people who are renting rooms in other peoples houses or on short term lets who can’t buy their own places.

I think there are quite a lot of midrange priced goods that surprisingly come from Bangladesh, I don't know whether the more expensive brands do. Considering they get paid next to nothing for their labour - that latter bit being the reason some of our financial sector started offshoring there, cheap labour. I knew people who used to work out there for short periods a decade or two back, and they use to have to have security and always had to travel in groups - I didn't know about the torture chambers though until I saw that documentary.
