Depends how long before you get your pension to make that decision. If you are talking 6 months I wouldn't bother, if you are talking 2 years then I would, but yes, they will make you look for work.
It depends on how much those missing years you value and if you are two years away, it would fill the gap, if the gap is two years.
so was i and having just checked my record i have full conts for those years so unless it was after 2014 i;m at a loss
Probably still the same for a 63 year old lol, the government might want us to work until we drop but the faces delivering it are probably more fook this.
always was because if nowt else the Advisors had targets so they cherry picked the cases to work on but even worse was when they used outsourcing as those ****s just didn't even bother seeing loads of peeps as they didn't view them as easy to get into work despite the contract their bosses signed up for stated lots would need help to get "job ready".
mind you if one of them got a job off their own back they would try and claim the money for arranging it
If you’re sorting your NI contributions out you’ll need to pay and catch up on them by next April. After April 2025 you can only go back about 5 or 6 year to catch up. It’s really important that you move now.

The Crown Prosecution Service has said that it twice considered bringing charges against ex-Harrods owner Mohammed Al Fayed but concluded there was no realistic prospect of a conviction.
Police officers presented the CPS with evidence in 2009 and 2015 "which our prosecutors looked carefully at", it confirmed.

Polling expert Prof Sir John Curtice has spoken to Radio 4's Today programme - claiming Keir Starmer has "never been a popular leader", and has "two weaknesses".
"He's never been very successful at doing what George Bush called the vision thing," he says.
"What is the Labour Party for, what his government trying to achieve, what kid of Britain does he want... that lack of narrative is being exposed."
Curtice also says Starmer has "not always had a strong political antenna, and that's been exposed in the last week or two".
He says it's fair too early to rule out a second Labour term after the next general election. But he says "what we've seen in the last few weeks is perhaps not surprising".
