How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters

I’d like Labour to hold this momentum for a couple years so they take over Holyrood and boot the SNP out of there.

@Spurf Your boys took one hell of a beating. The people of Scotland have just told them to **** off.

I've always thought it would be much of a muchness for Labour and Tories. The parties who stand to gain the most from it would be Libs, Greens and now Reform. The two big fish would lose equally huge pools of seats to those.

Which would be great, except for the prospect of a Reform/Tory government

He'll make up some bollocks of course

Don't forget John Swinney said this would be a mandate for independence if the SNP did well.

I am almost as happy about the SNP getting their asses handed to them in Scotland too <laugh>

The one loss that pleases me is Liz Truss....anyone got any twitter clips the moment her loss was announced?

All I know is when the results were in they stood on the stage waiting for ages while she was hiding in her car outside and eventually had to be dragged in to face the music.

Just think about this.

England Labour
Scotland Labour
Wales Labour?
Manchester Mayor Labour
London Mayor Labour
West Midlands Mayor Labour

Then there's all the Labour councils from the May elections.

That could be a force for good but equally a position where you cannot hide if you get it wrong.

I’ve just seen Ashworth has lost his seat. I’m happy about that. He’s the one Labour politician that made my skin crawl.

This is the creep.

An example of the Tory collapse

Westmorland where Tim Farron is the MP

2019 it was:
Farron 25k votes
Tory 23k votes

2024:
Farron 31k votes
Tory 9k

Independence is a distant dream again, now. They were on the cusp of it as well, at one point.

Shame.

That’s tiny compared to some numbers the Tories have lost in constituencies.

They’re ****ing all on it mate. Rishi has probably left Keir a Hollywood line on the bog seat in number 10 as a welcome gift.
