How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters

It wasn't even PR during that referendum, but AV which is even more convoluted than PR.

The campaign was woeful and didn't really even attempt to explain to people what AV was, how it works, or how it would affect elections.

So when it came to the actual referendum, I think a lot of people were like 'what the **** is this ?' and just binned it.

Yeah it was nonsense.

Another dumb **** thing Clegg agreed to should have binned the coalition there and then.

Nick Clegg was.....well, a proper Clegg

He should never have agreed to that stupid meaningless Deputy PM role either. It had no clout whatsoever

He should have insisted on being chancellor, where at least he could have driven some actual policy.

He ended up just being like a cup of herbal tea

Also did not realise that Nick Clegg is now director of global comms for Meta

That was a joke lol.

Come on Solid.

"Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem, Green or UKIP?

Do you want to have PR?"

Most didn't even know it happened, what PR was or anything else. There wasn't even a campaign.

Most probably don't even know what FPTP is and we talk about it every election.

In fact, I know that most people don't, as even pensioners you see who have voted in countless elections, speak about Reform now like their vote intention means they will likely see Farage as PM.

It had a 40% turnout and was tagged onto the local elections...
the point stands that given the chance we voted to keep FPTP and considering your view on the average voter any form of PR would just leave them dazed and confused .

No point stands, you even got what they voted for wrong.

This is how it works in Norway which has the DREADED PR system.

The second largest party's leader takes up the Chancellor position.

just listened to this on the QPR thread.

Not sure how real it all is, and obviously theres details in there such as some "innocents" being murdered by there despots which really threw fire to the flames and the west jump in but it does really highlight how the superpowers couldn't give a monkey about world laws

That's really interesting and very elucidating.

When you drill down into the nuances of how these conflicts have arisen, there's always so much more to it that 'He's a bad man and must be stopped'

Anyway talking of regime change and disposing of despots, isn't it about time we had a new supermod :bandit:

This is groundbreaking. Piskie trying to organise a coup to overthrow the NOT606 leadership.

Interesting times ahead to see how this plays. Gotta feeling brb might throw in the heavies to repel this nonsense. @Lovearsenalcock @Saf

I'm proposing we have a general election to match the mood of the country.

Each candidate can have a thread to eschew their contribution to the board and their future plans for development.

I'll let @aberdude know that he needs to get some leaflets printed.
