How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters
    23
I don't particularly have any expectation of them, there's going to be no money left in the kitty. All I know is Rishi and Co need to go.

I see I have two choices and that will be either Labour or don't vote. I can't vote for the Lib Dems not after the way they were during Brexit, and the Greens have got no fooking chance, I can't remember that old bats name that use to sit in the commons.

I just want someone middle of the road that will get on with our neighbours in Europe. Who will make an effort overtime to improve the NHS. sort out whatever needs to happen with schools and prisons. I don't really ask much from them, just keep your head down, get on with it and make friends not enemies.

Corbyn and Abbott have never been on my mind in the run up to this GE, I couldnt' care less if they were in or out of Labour, it would have no affect on my vote whatsoever. They have a right to their views and I don't believe in shutting them down, no more than I'd agree in shutting Farage down. Well actually I'd be happy if someone gave Tice a smack in the gob, I can't abide aggressive politicians.

Don't go putting taxes down and don't go bribing pensioners, we have bills as a country to pay, and things can't change if you go throwing money down the drain to win votes, I didn't agree with it when I was young and was bringing up a family and I don't agree with it now.

Agreed but 2 things in what you've said. You'd never vote for LibDems because of the way they behaved following Brexit i.e. principles in something you believed in, no matter what they do, you can't vote for them.

Secondly this isn't about Abbott in isolation. If it was just about that I could understand, but it's a wider gradual chipping away at Labour principles because they're too afraid of rocking the cart. She's just another casualty of this. Which makes me think where are your principle i.e. the very thing you've highlighted about the LDs that I can't vote for.

I was watching Starmer today giving an interview following Raynor being cleared of the charges against her. He genuinely looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights trying to find the words to carefully navigate the answer so it wouldn't look one thing or the other. It made me cringe. This bloke is going to lead the nation, where's the conviction in anything he says. He looks scared to lose, and I can't be dealing with that.

Can I just say, I am absolutely sick to death of the narrative that the UK has no money.

It's a load of utter bollocks and pushed by ministers who simply don't want to invest in the economy.

We do however have a lot less than we had before 'track and can't be traced' ...

It will probably go something like...

Starmer: You've had 14 years

Sunak: Your costings don't add up

And around in circies they will go. I think we need a checklist of words that will be used during it.

My mum and dad's chemist has got to be in there surely....

NHS
Tax
National Service
Energy
Boats
Ukraine
Israel

I'm bored already.

In other news....

Starmer is saying no decision made regarding Diane Abbott. Abbott says she's 'dismayed' at reports she is barred.

Just let her stand ffs.

Edit: there's more... Starmer: Abbott not barred from standing for Labour.

During the Truss Sunak debates Rishi had a tendency to explode over nothing

I hope he loses it a bit to look tough

Rumour has it that Starmer may pitch her in for the Argyle & Butte seat ... 12 registerd voters and 6,000 sheep - Tory stronghold, sheep botherers to a man ... out of sight out of mind but equal opportunities directive complied with ... <whistle>
