How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

It’s bullshit though, obviously. And you’d have to be all sorts of ****ing stupid to believe 10% of the ****e you’re getting spoon fed in Twitter
Not sure precisely what bit you are calling out mate, that's an official government twitter page. The bit underneath (Basil the Great) is the added bit, so yeah that's not official and ive not looked into it's claims. But the main text is all Home Office.

Rent a house somewhere like Scunthorpe for next to **** all, pay one person to officially live there, fill the place with bunk beds and pocket £350 a month per person. It’s a billion dollar idea. The neighbours won’t care because they’ve all been off their tits permanently since the ironworks closed.

The safe routes thing is a positive. The argument people disingenuously make is that entering ‘illegally’ is the only option. If it’s combined with turning around those who continue to do that, which it won’t be obviously, that has to be a good thing.

The obvious caveat being the checks will be far from foolproof and we’ll end up with Bin Laden’s head of operations in a four bed council house in Maida Vale while claiming PIP for each of his eight wives.

I couldn't find the official government page on this new scheme, I could only find old versions 2023 & 2024, so I'll assume the story has got out before they've had chance to update it, but to take it away from Twitter, this is the BBC story on it, that was released today and updated last 2 hours ago...

Tbf mate, the Home Office don't help themselves by putting it on Twitter and not linking an official gov.uk page. It's just ****ing laziness on their part, but suppose they have to get ahead of leaks these days, and sticking an official page up takes time on a weekend.

I expect it;s that spat yesterday between Mahmood, Tapp and Starmer that has spured on all this coming out quickly.

I don't know if that really happened yesterday or not, I'm dismissing AI saying it did, because it's only quoted Facebook sources lol.

BUT...

It's all ready for next Saturday's Pride Parade (4th July), you ought to get yourself along to it mate, treat the Mrs...
