Agreed, I'd have Puncheon on the right and move Gaston central. But yeah, I can understand where you are coming from. Nice to have the options.
I wonder why Kelvin's getting so much game time. I thought it would be all Boruc and a bit of Gazza in pre-season but Kel seems to have been given the most minutes. Rather interesting.
Paulo has hardly covered himself in glory. Neither of them have. They're battling it out for the #2 goalkeeper role. People go on about Boruc needing to be ready and fit, but we need our reserve keeper to be on his toes and ready for action too.
If you go on basis that this is about number 2 then you have to presume Davis beats gazza for that role?

I'd quite agree. Kelvin is more assertive, but Paulo is a better shot stopper in one on one's, and has better distribution. It's just a decision that MP has to come to for the season.
Boruc's handling and throwing is so much better than Kelv and Gazza's. None of them has perfect kicking but Kelvin's is atrocious tbh.
Reserve keepers in general aren't great, it's difficult to make a good keeper sit on the bench. I think Davis is a pretty good reserve keeper as it goes.
Sorry I meant in sense of season. You would have to presume if something happened god forbid to boruc or he was ill as a game last year it be Davis who would play and not gazza
I'm very grateful to Kelvin for his service to us. He is terrific Championship keeper, but his distribution has always been iffy.
Final day of the season we started with Davis. Davis was also on the bench whenever Boruc was starting. So Davis must be 2nd choice based on that and pre-season.
I think what my point was, if Boruc wasn't able to play for a particular reason, I wouldn't be confident that either Gazza or Kelv would be able to fill that gap.
Exactly, over 260 Saints appearances and an abundance of loyalty, yet people talk about him as if he's a waste of space.
