If Holtby can play his way into the first team with his Europa League performances so can Eriksen. He's not really shown as much so far, his set pieces are great but he hasn't ever looked like taking control of a game since Norwich. I'd like to have seen them both play tonight with a view to them both playing on Sunday which is why I'm disappointed with the line up.

 

Big night for Lamela tonight. Needs a performance.

 

Wouldn't say he needs one but it would be nice for his confidence if he had a very good game.

I think he needs to be more involved in league games to get up and running properly. These European games don't really help him.

 

If he's involved in an attacking move that leads to a goal, that will be good for him as fans will see he can contribute...and also good for the team, as it shows the fans they are capable of attacking moves that lead to a goal.
