Is this the old cold wet tuesday at stoke arguement? <doh>

Messi has destroyed English opponents in the CL time and again (4 against Arsenal, scoring in both CL finals v Man U) so your sogic doesn't stand up if he is crucifying the best of this league when he plays them

Am I the only one who finds Barca boring? They play lovely football, but it's boring to watch!

The same Arsenal and Man U that struggle at the Britannia...

I'm not saying he couldn't, just, to me, he looks too lightweight for the prem, much like Dos Santos of Spurs.

Arsenal aren't a physical side. I'm talking about the likes of Wolves, Stoke, Bolton and Blackburn. Yes he has masses of quality but he looks to me like he has no strength.

He .... would ..... destroy them! They wouldn't be able to touch him to foul him

Edit: He is deceptively strong and coupled with his centre of balance and touch leaves him incredibly difficult to push off the ball

In fairness he has been a little bit off as of late. Alexis has been superb

It doesn't matter because he doesn't need it

Ibrahimovic was a class signing and played really well for Barca... at first.
Then he made the mistake of falling out with Messi and the inevitable happened.

Of course I'll watch it because there are two class teams on display BUT watching all the diving, play acting and petty fighting gets tedious.

I hate most of the players that play for both sides as well. Off the top of my head Messi, Casillas, Puyol, Abidal, Villa and Alonso are the only ones I wouldn't take pleasure from booting in the balls.

What formation are Barca playing? How are they incorporating all the midfielders?

They paid something like £20m + Eto'o. They were robbed. Eto'o was probably the best striker in the world at the time.

They usually play what looks like a 3-5-2 but is actually a 3-7-0 or 2-8-0 formation. Just complete midfield football

No idea. I imagine Cesc will play high up the pitch, maybe in the centre of Messi and Alexis. I think Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta will play in their usual positions.
