I'm almost certain that the rules of the PL rules state something along the lines of "The Premier League shall consist of 20 English or Welsh clubs"
It's not going to happen lads not in a million years. Dai quite rightly says (bloody hell did I just say that ?) we are founder members of the league. Ourselves and the neighbours were invited to join the league. The only people that have a problem with the Swans and Cardiff in the league are petty small minded bigots or people like this latest Buffon with Rangers who can't get his own way (not forgetting QPR fans too ). Fair and reasonable people understand that we are where we are on merit. I have found that the bigger the club the more receptive they have been towards us being in the Premier League. I will use Arsenal as an example as we have a gooner visiting our board (hope you don't mind) but the Arsenal fans I have spoken too down here and at the Emirates saw the Swans being in the Premier League as actually enhancing the league. The reason being that its a global brand and what other massive league would allow a team from a different country into it, but of course getting there by merit. Where else would you find a down and out team nearly losing their league status and 8 years and 3 promotions later playing in the top division and doing all that in a fair and square way too ? That's what the Arsenal fans told me and to be fair I've heard very similar from fans of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool to jut to name a few.
