Morning both. I hope you are the ones proved correct. I agree he will be better with balls to his feet. Sadly that is because he is so bad in the air. Unfortunately he doesnt have a great 1st touch either so balls to his feet and he will still struggle and he hasnt got the pace for the ball played for him to run onto. You can blame the system but he has shown very little to hope hes up to anywhere near this level. The term we dont play to Glatzels strengths was used a lot last season. I really have no clue what his strengths are.
As said before, with the track record to date, it's difficult to make a case for Glatzel. I just feel that he will come into his own when thought out balls are played to him in space from players who don't see the ball as a hot potato. I think his first touch is a bit symptomatic of the rest of the team and that it will improve as the culture does.
Agree that whatever "strengths" people have claimed Glatzel has have not been evident so far. However when being played in on the floor particularly by Tomlin, he looks far better. He took his goal against Leeds well from that Tomlin flick on and combined quite well with Murphy in the early days. We've relied far too much on set pieces, long throws and corners to get the ball into the box. That has to change and maybe, just maybe then we'll find out what Glatzel's strengths are.
