Just found this on the BBC gossip page...

"Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is also set to swoop for Eidur Gudjohnsen after the Iceland striker, 32, had a one-year contract offer withdrawn by Fulham following Martin Jol's appointment as manager."

What do you guys think if we signed him?
Personally, I would love to see him in a swansea shirt! :D

A player who has failed to get starts in the last couple of seasons and a player who has struggled to find a permanant home.

It kind of tells me that his numbers up so it's a no from me.

wasnt convinced when we were linked to him last season never mind this season in the premiership. No doubt the bloke has experience but is the energy/fitness still there and would be be willing to take a pay cut. I suspect not, therefore i wish im all the best but im out ala dragons den :)

I know he's getting on a bit, But aslong as he doesn't want stupid wages I think he would be okay for us! :D ... you never know, he might not have been happy/fitted in in his previous clubs. Yes, I'm all positive! ahaa

Wouldn't be a bad signing, but wouldn't be the best. He's getting on a bit now and hasn't really played the football we play (Chelsea, Monaco), they are more direct and hoof it styles, so would he fit into our game?

When we were linked with him in Championship I thought "Great", I don't see him cutting it in the Prem though and thinking he's just living off his name now... Sorry, no deal for me.

This doesn't excite me at all, the guy is getting on, his fitness levels are low and i would much prefer signing an up and coming youngster maybe on a season loan to back up Graham

But often is the way of football that a player does nothing at one club them when he gets with certain players/manager he goes off like a rocket. I guess BR thinks he need a tad of Premiership experience in the side.

I don't think he'd be a great signing. As stated, He could possibly do a decent job in the Dobbie role, but I hope its just a rumour tbh.
