The sale of Livermore and Snodgrass was the only part of the interview that I found untrustworthy. the explanation of the finances confirmed what I suspected, we are more or less skint. To get the players Marco Silva wanted required the sale of two or three of our best players. Surprisingly they were sold and the money spent on getting in players Silva wanted. Its my opinion, shared by a minority of one, that they were "encouraged" to leave. The rest of the interview put some meat on what I suspected about our finances. He also hinted at trying to resolve the other problems at the club. If he is serious he will sit down with representatives of the various supporters groups and look at ways of sorting these problems out. You're right actions do speak louder than words. We'll know soon enough how serious he is or whether it is all hot air. I'm hoping he is serious.
