Someone went to the extremes of bussing a load of Chinese/Thia looking businessmen into Hull, taking them to the KC, wining and dining them and arranged for a photographer and all to keep the deceit going did they ?
There was definitely interest from China, they had meetings with Ehab in London ahead of the meetings at the KC, but as far as I'm aware, they never actually came up with a bid (that's what that Monday deadline was all about).
Yes I know all that. I posted because PLT said the Far Eastern interest was made up to create competition. He was wrong but in the majority on here.
Oh good! So guys, it turns out clubs can be sold during the Transfer Window, Wolves have been sold during the transfer window.
Has anyone ever mentioned that "Ehab" means "gift" in Arabic? Perhaps there was some confusion when Assem mentioned giving the people of Hull a gift, what he really meant was that he was giving us his son.
I'm not doubting you since as I said, I don't know anything more about these groups than what's been reported, but where are these pictures? I don't remember ever seeing anything like that. Last I heard of them was that people were trying to find out who they were but to no avail. That's what makes me think they don't really exist.
Greater Garbo saw them at the Holiday Inn Express on Ferensway. Don't think he got any pictures though. Will an eye witness account do instead?
I wish the guy who looks like buying Forest was interested in City.... he's a Greek who owns Olympiakos I think.. theres just a small matter of him apparently bombing a refereeing bakers property to overcome...
See, that right there is the problem a lot of us have. Someones heard something, which they tell us, and expect us to take in good faith. We all want the same thing, official statements/actual proof.
Ehab's comments from last night... Latest position is I've suspended all talks until after transfer window closes, would get very messy trying to deal with transfers and negotiations at the same time, sensible decision to take. Sale was close on a couple of occasions but hasn't worked out. The intention is still to sell if the right ownership and offer come in, it's a good time to sell the club. Can't see what more the family can do after saving club, getting promoted, 3 seasons out of last 4 in the Premier League, I think we've done all we can. He seems to think that as long as we're in the Premier League, he should be free to ignore the fans and do what he likes.
As long as it doesn't turn out to be North Korean interest, like the ones that took Notts County for a ride, as well as Sven Goran Eriksson. Most anything else would be better that the present situation,.
On a footballing note he is spot on. They have delivered beyond anyone's wildest expectations. On every other note they have bummed. In a bad bum way.
