My mate who's Brizzle has just moved back there and is attending the match on Saturday & posted a pic of his ticket on Facebook.. another mutual friend of ours sat on the fence quite nicely by commenting on it - "Come on City!"

Oh bore off you knob, no one ever says, 'I'm from Kingston-Upon-Hull', we say 'I'm from Hull'

If I'm talking amongst City fans, I call us City. But over this way when talking about football amongst other fans I have to call us Hull to avoid confusion.

Don't read Ollie's Predictions this week - he calls us Hull and Bristol City, 'City'. The twat!

Nearly how I'd do it - I'd say City, Rervers (emphasising the accent) or Hull FC. I'd never use just KR or FC.

I understand that Rovers fans sing "We all hate Hull" - how confusing is this to some?

Not at all, considering their local rivals are commonly referred to as 'Hull'?

if i'm talking to fans from outside the city, i say "hull city".

after our p.l. spell, more people around the world think of the football club when the name "hull" is mentioned. perhaps advantage should be taken.

hull is indeed a river, but the city/town has been known as hull for centuries. do you always call all your friends by the forenames on their birth certificates? don't you often use the pet versions they prefer rather than the sunday-best versions? do you tell people they're wrong to call michael mike or mick?

That's acceptable since he's from round there. My beef is with the recent growing trend of the club itself and the local media calling us just Hull. It's proper bollocks.

With the January transfer window getting nearer a couple of players who are more than worth a punt
and would be well within our budget.

    1) Rico Henry(18) - left back from Walsall

    2) Matt Taylor(26) - striker from Bristol Rovers

    £500k plus add-ons for each as a guess ?

I might be the only one but other than Dawson I carnt see there been a stampede to sign our players, that would have happened in the summer.
Other than Dawson no other player has stood out to the point were the pl clubs will come knocking
All this ****e in the hdm or humberside that elmo has pledged to stay......really!!! What has he done to attract bigger clubs
Someone mentioned clucas in this thred, only bruce could put him first name on the team sheet.
Don't worry ehab you won't be fending off offers cone deadline day

Could you "shorten" that to Hull Tigers maybe - marketing magic that will generate more followers around the world
