Whoops, I jockeyed for position earlier and gambled on the wrong name. Dick lost by a head. To add to the earlier quote. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-free-travel-Premier-League-away-matches.html "One of our unique selling points is the away attendance because it creates the tension, the passion, the show. The clubs are investing £4million a season, £12million over the next three seasons, in initiatives to make the away fan experience better and that’s either helping their own fans travel away or doing something to encourage opponents’ away fans to come to them.’" ‘I’m absolutely sure that among the twenty there will be others who go with the same initiative. Cardiff City already work very hard for away fans visiting them. They have people dressed in the away strip serving in the bars, they have away stewards, they put local beers in from where the clubs come from.’ But 'tis done. We move on with a new air of positivity.
So, if I am wrong, they did in fact spend ASI money on their own fans. How did they do this and how much was it? Just so we know what to be grateful for. A So, if what I said is wrong, then not all of the other 19 clubs sent the ASI money on their own fans. Which were they?
That article's from the start of the 2013 season, a season in which we did spend the ASI money on discounting tickets and travel for our own fans. The Premier League haven't actually said anything about being happy with our arrangements last season season, have they?
Nothing wrong with that. But nothing to do with the fact our owners were the only ones not to spend any of the ASI on their own fans, Which was the subject under discussion. Although you keep telling me I was wrong when I state that. Not that you can back up that assertion so in the meantime my statetement remains correct.
They've mentioned it in articles since. Some have been quoted on here. It does show that, no matter what some claim, they felt the option to spend on visiting fans was more than acceptable. I think spending creating an atmosphere from home fans would be more beneficial than a few quid off away tickets, with subsequent improved revenue to the opposition. All history, we move on with the new spirit of positivity.
It wasn't actually what I was 'asserting', but if I say I'm really sorry, and you're 100% correct, will you stop burbling on? We've moved on, we're in a new era of positivity. Perhaps you could now reveal your cunning plan to help us on the voyage.
Marvelous, all new recruits to the era of positivity are welcome. Like former smokers, converts often become the most staunch advocates.
The banner project (for want of a name) needed more people involved on match days as well as the odd days in between. The club would be willing (so I am led to believe) to have more banners. Placement is an issue, that could be addressed quite easily, it needed to be better organised, that's all. I have been looking at a few different idea's for events, for the OSC. The biggest problem is not coming up with idea's or talking about them, it is finding people who are willing to give up time to sort them out. I am happy to talk to the club about stuff along the lines of the banners as long as it is done in the same way with no supporters group claiming to be linked to it, including the OSC. My reasoning is simple, No club politics, leads to just support, just support leads to enjoyment. The "In Bruce We Trust" banner was for me a milestone in group support for the team. Mauled 1904 and DMD, worked hard to get it installed and the fact that it is still being put up is testament to its success. If the feeling of unity could be replicated for other ventures, what is not to like. One of the suggestions that I would like to see put into action would be to pay for a junior football club to attend a match, with each poster from here donating the money for a ticket and paying for a flag for each of them.
I said we were the only club which spent all the ASI money on fans of other clubs and none on our own. You said I was wrong. So what were you asserting?
Well, if he accepts I was right and his assertions I was wrong were not, then we will agree on something.
That you where wrong. Was he wrong to assert that you was wrong or was he wrong? He could have been wrong all along, but I still think that he should have said that you was wrong just to see how long you would keep on saying that he was wrong. Two many wrongs don't make interesting reading. Now here's the question, what are you going to do that is positive?
My original reply is still there on post #167. It doesn't query in the way the depressing bloke's burbling about anyway. Still, I'm more than happy for him to see it as a victory and proof of his fantastic debating skills. We're in an era of positivity now.
I said we were the only club which spent all of its ASI money on fans of other clubs and none on its on fans. The fact you are such a pathetic little person who can't back up his statement that his assertion I was wrong was a load of crap is your problem. You have tried to shift the goalposts, bringing in irrelevancies which weren't being discussed, which is a usual tactic of yours rather than being big enough to admit you were wrong. You can of course settle this. I said we were the only club to spend all the ASI money on fans of other clubs and none on our own fans last season. All you have to do is inform me of the other clubs that did likewise. If youcan I will admit I was wrong. If you can't then you concede your assertion was wrong. Wriggling about, changing goalposts, referring to what Scudamore said doesn't count as that wasn't what was being discussed. Neither does referring to posts where you didn't address the original question.
In the spirit of positivity, I am positive you are a ****. Seeing as Dutch can't, can you tell me where my statement that we were the only club which spent all the ASI money on fans of other clubs and none on our own was incorrect? Just a single example will suffice.
Go the other thread and answer Ben's question you bottleless **** instead of scuttling off and ignoring it like you have done for weeks. You've got nothing but spelling mistakes and grammer to fall back on after this have you.
So you can't show I was incorrect. Just like DMD. Thanks for the confirmation. No one would have time to correct all your spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes.
