This is the only thread with the full story though, and we're working on contacting the agent to get more details, so it would be worth following the linked article.

Why is it harsh?

Wish posters would check other threads before rushing into repeating information & repeating threads that are already there. Blocking up the board in the process.

Just add to the relevant thread, easy concept.

don't read the thread then

Can confirm that it is Gedo we are after.

They are worried about a work permit, but I can't forsee it being an issue because he plays regularly for Egypt who are in the top 75 countries (they're 41st as of December 31st).

According to Blunderside he has scored 17 goals in 31 games for Egypt. They reckon it's Gedo not the other bloke who must have a work permit already cos he's played for Sheffield Utd

It was to twin the clubs with each other, we can trial some of their youngsters and they can use our advanced medical facilities when needed.

The 'advanced' facilities that keep ****ing up knees and hamstrings ? Bet they'd send us some right **** in return for that.

I think we all agree that it would be best to bring an england based striker, we cannot risk more time on a player that may need time to adapt.

If he can tear up the africa cup of nations I doubt he would need to much time to adapt.

He cant be any worse than Simpson when it comes to scoring. Surely everyone would take him it would just depend on how much it would cost us. Like, lets say we got a player for free, we could then sell them and make a profit.

an arrangement was made between Assem Allam and Al Ahly fc on September 21, 2012, so a deal was arranged months ago to bring players from Al Ahly

I dont speak arabic but I think that video is only announcing our preseason game with them next year. The club sent out an email about it, the proceeds are going to a fund for the victims of the Egyptian football tragedy that happened last year.

"The agreement allows Africa’s most decorated side to send youngsters to England to gain experience by training and undergo trials with Hull City.
Al Ahly will also be able to use Hull’s advanced medical facilities, if necessary, to treat injured players."

Well I stand corrected. The email the club sent out didnt say anything about that. Nice catch.

just meant if you add the pieces together, something like a trial or mayby signing was arranged ages ago, so the likely hood of Gedo, Fathi coming is very high, if not an already done deal.
