Egypt - does anybody else find this fascinating?

    The biggest country in the Arab worlkd is in popular revolt. The army is standing by and not backing the goverment. It would not happen here.

    This dissatisfaction looks like spreading across all of N. Africa and further afield. Tanks are on standy close to Byker Wall.

    Joke aside, I feel history is in the making. It could so easily have turned into a bloodbath.

    I have the BBC self-updating page in the background all day. The US shuffling is fascinating. If a new Egyptian regime is anti US it could cause all sorts of **** for them and us.

    Sums it up nicely. I doubt if there is anyone who can accurately predict how it will all pan out.

    No bloodbath at the moment but if I was a gambling man I would bet it wont stay like that . I think people have already been killed though .
